Emma Brown
BSc, MSc Forensic Psychology, is employed by FPP Ltd as a Forensic Psychologist in Training, undertaking HCPC Forensic Practitioner Training at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Ms Brown is in her second year. Emma obtained an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Birmingham City University, and a BSc with Hons in Psychology from the University of York.
Emma is trained in forensic risk assessment and has significant experience in the assessment, formulation, and making recommendations for vulnerable young people and adults. She has obtained Level 2 APT Accreditation in CBT Essentials. Emma is currently supervised to provide psychological consultancy to a local authority children’s home, and to a residential home for an adult with intellectual disability managed by an independent provider.
Emma previously worked for His Majesty’s Prison Service, conducting assessments with and facilitating offending behaviour programmes for a range of male offenders with various needs and offences, both on a group and a one-to-one basis. This included those convicted of violent offences, murder, and gang-affiliated offences, some of which presented with complex emotional, psychological and neurodivergent needs. She has experience in conducting welfare assessments with individuals presenting with self-injurious and suicidal behaviours. She previously held the role of ‘Neurodiversity Champion’ and has experience in providing support and practical aid for neurodiverse individuals, as well as raising awareness among others.
During undergraduate and postgraduate study, she has conducted academic research in the field of forensic psychology, critically analysed empirical literature and developed strong research skills. She is the author of a published research paper regarding sexual harassment within the police force.
Charlotte Seel
BSc (Hons), MSc in Forensic Psychology, working towards qualification at the University of Derby. Charlotte has experience in the clinical interviewing and psychometric administration in assessing a wide range of behaviours. She is trained in forensic risk assessment and has significant experience in the assessment, formulation, and making recommendations for vulnerable young people and adults. She has previous experience of working within the Witness Service at Court. Her research interests include a thematic analysis of public perceptions of the possible causes and characteristics of perpetrators of child sexual offending.
Chloe McKeown
BSc, MSc Forensic Psychology, PgDip is employed by FPP Ltd as a Forensic Psychologist in Training, undertaking HCPC Forensic Practitioner Training at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Chloe obtained a PgDip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from Bolton University. She obtained an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Birmingham City University, and a BSc in Applied Psychology from Durham University. She has held Full Accreditation in CBT through the BABCP (Membership No: 180894) since 2020. Chloe has completed all stages of EMDR training through EMDR Academy, and Levels 1 and 2 Children and Adolescent EMDR Training through the Child Trauma Therapy Centre. She previously worked with young people presenting with harmful sexual behaviour and complex emotional behavioural difficulties for seven years prior to holding her current role. Chloe has experience of working with clients in a primary care setting, presenting with difficulties including anxiety disorders, depression and PTSD. Chloe is trained in adult forensic risk assessment including HCR-20, RSVP and SAPROF.
Mo Mahama
Currently undertaking a year-long placement with FPP Ltd as part of her BSc in Psychology. This placement represents a significant step in both her academic and professional development, offering the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings and gain first-hand experience working alongside experienced professionals. She is especially interested in the psychological assessment and rehabilitation of individuals within the criminal justice system, as well as the broader societal impact of psychological interventions in forensic settings. She supports the wider team bringing a strong academic foundation, a reflective mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
